12 year old Emma Bradley has had a prolific season in 2019. On 15th September, Emma gained 3rd place in the Embassy Fell Race.
Then on the 22nd September, Emma won the Abersoch Bench Blast 2km Race, and secured an overall 1st place in the Abersoch Beach Chief series.
On 6th October, Emma, a Thursday night Nye Bevan regular, represented her school at the English Fell Running Championships. Emma finished 25th in UK in her age group on a wet, muddy and slippery course.

Sandra Eastham defied injury recently to put in a very good performance at the Ormskirk Triathlon.
Sandra has missed a few events due to injury this year, but has managed to keep a high level of fitness.
Our top Junior Girl fell runner, Emma Bradley  came 4th in the Farlton Knott Fell Race on the 4th August.
Emma has performed consistently well in similar events this year and is already in our club record books.
Chris Millington finished 5th in a large field at the Fleetwood Half Marathon on the 18th August to continue an amazing run of running success this year.
It’s been a busy month at West Lancs Tri Club. James O’Neill set a new mens mile record of 23 mins and 39 seconds and a new Ironman record of 57 mins and 49 seconds.
Colin Eastham has won 6 consecutive Tri events and Chris Millington won the Aintree 10km.
The Tour of Merseyside was completed by Angela Crerar Connor. The O’Neill family, including James completed the Derwentwater 1 mile swim.
Kevin Polhill completed his first Ironman in 12 hours and 43 minutes and Owen Martin did the Liverpool to Chester Bike Ride.

Emma Bradley, aged 12, gained 3rd place in the LowGill Fell Race, then earned 1st place in the 2nd race of the Jubilee race series at Horwich.
Emma’s time of 5 minutes 57 seconds is a new girls and ladies club record for the 1 mile run.
Well done to Owen Martin for setting a new West Lancs Tri Club Record for the 5km distance swim.His time of 1 hour 32 minutes at Cholmondley beat the previous time by a minute.
James O’Neill set a new 3.8km Ironman Swim record of 60 minutes and 40 seconds. Wil he be our first member to break the hour?
We’ve had a very busy month at West Lancs Tri Club/ Tommy Hollis and Andrew Owens completed the Cross Mersey Swim. Joe Bramall ran his 1st 26 mile marathon, by finishing the Ladybower Event.
Phil and Jo-Anne Robson completed the arduous Bala Lake One-Way Swim, a distance of 3 miles on the 9th June.
Well done to Wayne Storey and Michael Corness for being the 1st Members to complete Ironman this year. They Did Ironman Lanzarote in fine style. An excellent performance also came from Tommy Hollis, who just missed the cut-off.
